Honda, a world-renowned Japanese automaker, is all set to introduce the highly anticipated electric version of its wildly popular scooter, “Activa,” at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2024, commencing from January 9th in America. The company has been relentlessly working to bring Activa Electric to the market for a long time.

The Honda Activa can compete with the Ola electric scooter.

Honda Activa is the best-selling scooter in the country, and the Ola electric scooter is currently the most popular in the domestic market, leading the sales charts. However, the Honda Activa Electric is all set to challenge the Ola Electric Scooter’s dominance and will be launched in India in 2024, capable of traveling up to 280 Km on a single charge.

Honda gave a sneak peek of the Activa electric scooter at the Japan Mobility Show, but it is yet to be decided whether the Activa electric scooter that will be launched in the domestic market will have the same design or some modifications.

Honda Activa include some extra ordinary features in the electric version scooter.

The Activa Electric will be loaded with cutting-edge features, including a digital touch screen infotainment system, mobile connectivity, and Telescope suspension. Although the company has not yet shared any information about the Honda Activa Electric Scooter, according to some credible media reports, it will include some design elements of the existing ICE model.

To address the issue of fixed battery setup causing problems for people living in multi-storey apartments, Honda plans to launch another electric scooter with a swappable battery pack soon after the launch of Activa Electric.

Honda aims to achieve complete electrification through battery-electric vehicles.

Honda is committed to achieving 100% electrification through battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) by 2040, and the electric version of India’s best-selling two-wheeler model could play a pivotal role in helping Honda achieve its sustainability targets.
