When is Black Friday 2023?
Black Friday 2023 is on November 24th, 2023. According to CBS News, Black Friday deals typically kick off at midnight on November 24th, 2023. However, Amazon’s Black Friday sale is expected to start on November 17th, 2023, and will feature some of the lowest prices of the year so far on select products from popular brands like Walmart, YETI, Peloton, LEGO, Lancôme, and Ruggable.
Why is it called ‘Black’ Friday?
The term “Black Friday” originated in the 1960s in Philadelphia, USA. It was initially used by police to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic that occurred on the day after Thanksgiving. The term later gained a positive connotation, indicating the point at which retailers begin to turn a profit, or go “in the black,” due to increased holiday shopping. Today, Black Friday is known for being a major shopping day with widespread discounts and promotions.
Does Walmart have a Black Friday sale?
Each year, Walmart’s Black Friday sale is the most popular sale with shoppers compared to all other retailers. In 2023, Walmart is offering a ton of deals on HDTVs, smart home devices, video games, and of course toys (to fill in the void Toys R Us left behind). Plus, this year they are offering their Black Friday deals online at Walmart.com along with free shipping on every purchase!
Walmart has a Black Friday sale. The sale is expected to start on November 22nd at 12 p.m. for Walmart+ members and at 3 p.m. for all shoppers. However, the sale will also be available in stores starting on November 24th. Walmart has a wide range of products on sale, including tech, toys, fashion, home, auto, sports, outdoors, home improvement, kitchen and dining, wellness, seasonal decor, patio and garden, video games, books, movies, music, and pets. Walmart+ members can access the sale early, starting on November 22nd at 12 p.m.
